Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) Vaccine
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common cause of coughs and colds. It usually gets better by itself, but it can be serious for some babies and older adults.
We are sending out self-book invites to those patients who are eligible for the vaccine and have a mobile number. If you receive a text invite and cannot use the booking link, please call the surgery to book an appointment. If you are eligible for the vaccine, do not have a mobile and would like to have the vaccine, please call the surgery to book.
There are appointments available for the first week of September at both sites.
Eligibility Criteria
- you’re aged 75 to 79
- you’re 28 weeks pregnant or more – this will help protect your baby for the first few months after they’re born (you can also speak to your maternity service for the vaccine)
For further information regarding the vaccine, please visit the NHS Website or click the below link for the information leaflet.
