This has been a training establishment for many years, where qualified doctors come to gain experience in General Practice, after several years of hospital practice. These GP Registrars/Trainees are usually with us for a year before entering General Practice on a permanent basis. They are not students.

We also welcome medical students and nurses in training from teaching hospitals, to spend some time observing consultations. Your permission will be requested in advance of them attending your consultation with the doctor or nurse, and your agreement will be appreciated.
